Submitting Tactile Artwork
Vector Files/Native Files: We will require an Original “Shop Drawing” & RED Outlined version of “Shop Drawing”. (See example A for detailed example of Shop Drawing – Example B shows same Shop Drawing Artwork converted to RED Outlines)
Type Face/Fonts: We also recommend sending customer service copies of Font files used to build your Signage.
Excel File: We’ll only require an excel file if your order calls for ROOM # SIGNS or multiple signs that will follow the same layout/format. (Example C below shows Excel file formatting)


Appliqué for ADA Signage
Q: What is the maximum Appliqué Height?
A: Tactile height is a maximum of 2”
Q: What is the minimum Appliqué Height?
A: Tactile height is a minimum of 5/8”
Q: How thin is Tactile Material?
A: 0.03125” (1/32”)
Q: What are Appliqué standards?
A: Tactile text is required to be Uppercase, and Sans Serif Fonts
Q: What is the minimum thickness we can laser cut?
A: Our minimum thickness is 1/8”
ADA Braille Placement Standard
Beneath Line of Tactile (Left Justified, Centered, Right Justified) There needs to be a minimum 1.0868” of blank space beneath the bottom line of tactile & Top part of Braille. There also needs to be a minimum 0.375” of open space beneath Braille Baseline.
Braille Line Height
One line of Braille is 0.3472”
